Christmas holidays.

A thief broke into a Somerset hotel on Monday and stole a wallet containing money, credit cards and a driver's licence.

In a separate incident, a handbag containing cash and credit cards was stolen from a home on the Harbour Road in Warwick on Tuesday evening.

It appears the home was entered while the occupants were entertaining in another part of the house.

Also on Tuesday, a Sandys resident awoke around 4.30 a.m. to find a man in his bedroom but the offender escaped and nothing was stolen.

Meantime, thieves damaged a cash register and removed some cash and cartons of cigarettes from a variety store in Prospect sometime over the Christmas break.
