Magistrates' Court yesterday and denied he ever touched her sexually.

The girl alleges her father sexually abused her four times between November, 1992 and January this year.

During more than three hours on the stand, the father denied punching his daughter, inserting his fingers in her and forcing her to touch him.

"What she says I did to her is all a myth,'' he said. "It never happened. I have never attempted to examine any of my daughters to determine if they are still virgins.

"I am concerned if they are or not because I told them to maintain their bodies until their matrimonial day -- to be holy.'' The man's lawyer, Mr. Tim Marshall, questioned him at length about one of the four occasions he is alleged to have abused his daughter.

The man, who worked as a security guard at the time, described how he got up in the early afternoon of Saturday, November 14, cooked breakfast and changed his clothes.

While he relaxed, he said, his daughter lay on the couch watching television "in shorts and a T-shirt''.

He added that when his wife came home after 5.00 p.m. his daughter was still lying on the couch.

In Monday's testimony, the girl said her father had checked to see if she was a virgin after receiving a telephone call from someone who claimed that she had been spotted in a school changing room with a black boy.

Yesterday, he denied any recollection of being "angry with her about black people.

"I was still a little upset that my daughter was in the changing room with a boy and I would discuss that with her when I thought about it.'' The father said he told his daughter he did not want her to do anything like that again, but he denied punching his daughter anywhere on her body.

The father also told the court that he never pulled off his daughter's clothes or kissed her vagina. He also said he never made his daughter touch him.

When asked how he felt about the allegations, the father said: "I am upset to hear such dirty filth. Since we have had children I have never taught them to talk such dirty filth.

"She picked it up when she went to secondary school. She is making all this up because she does not want to live by my rules. She wants to go and live amongst the friends she has chosen, in the world of pleasures.'' The case continues this morning.
