Robinson, 33, of Loyal Hill, yesterday pleaded guilty to importing $3,500 worth of cannabis on October 23 and was sentenced to a nine-month jail term.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Anthony Mouchette said Robinson was searched by Customs officers after he arrived at the airport on a flight from New York.

A taped brown package was found by Customs officers in Robinson underwear.

Robinson told Police that he purchased the 70.28 grams of cannabis in Jamaica and that it was for his personal use.
