The warning follows break-ins at homes in Warwick, Fairylands, Woodbourne Avenue, South Road, and the Cox's Hill area of Pembroke.

Some 140 Canadian dollars, and 100 pounds sterling were included in the haul.

Also taken were a pocket-size clock, black Sony walkman, two green Chinese ornamental balls, and a lady's gold ring with an oval, jade stone.

Another lady's gold ring with a blue sapphire stone and four diamonds was stolen as well.

Police said the items were taken on Saturday and Sunday nights.
