Young's neighbour said she heard noises on Tuesday this week and saw the outline of the accused who was looking through her bathroom window.

She called Police who then searched the premises and apprehended Young who told them he had been drinking.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined Patrick McErlean of King's Point Road $400 and disqualified him from all vehicles for 12 months.

Prosecutor, Insp. Peter Duffy told Magistrates' Court that Police spotted McErlean riding an auxiliary cycle on Malabar Road in Sandys at 2.40 a.m on August 20.

"McErlean was driving erratically almost striking a curb,'' Insp. Duffy said.

"He was seen to be unsteady on his feet and his speech was slurred.'' A breathalyser test showed that McErlean had 200 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

DOUBLE TROUBLE CTS A Pembroke teenager stopped for a traffic offence found himself in deeper trouble when he tried to get rid of two envelopes containing marijuana.

Delton Burchall, 17, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to possession of 1.05 grams of cannabis. It was his first drugs offence.

Prosecutor Sgt. Peter Giles said Burchall was pulled over on Glebe Road in Pembroke by cycle squad officers on the night of February 6. While they were ticketing him for a traffic violation, they saw two pay-type envelopes fall to the ground, and Burchall with his hands in his pockets.

Sgt. Giles said that when asked what was in the envelopes, Burchall replied, "Weed''.

Nine firefighters were called to the old hospital building on Point Finger Road in Paget on Tuesday evening when a suspected fire was reported.

A brigade spokesman said: "It appears some form of cleaner had run down the wall and managed to get into an electrical outlet, causing a short and giving off some sort of fume or smell.'' CANNABIS TWIST CTS A 17-year-old youth was fined $100 in Magistrates' Court yesterday after pleading guilty to possessing .54 grams of cannabis.

Ezekial Burrows of Middle Road, Paget, was the passenger on a motorcycle that had been stopped by Police on St. John's Road in Pembroke on July 2.

Police noticed Burrows' bloodshot eyes and nervous disposition and arrested him. A search revealed a brown paper twist containing cannabis.

CRACK PIPE FOUND CTS Possession of a crack pipe cost a 39-year-old man a $250 fine when he admitted the offence in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Milton Dill of Devonshire was seen driving his motorcycle on Frog Lane at about 4.15 a.m. on May 22, prosecutor Sgt. Peter Giles said.

Acting on "certain information'', Police searched him and his bike. The officers found a glass tube inside a trash bag, which showed traces of cocaine in its freebase form.

BOATER FINED CTS A St David's boater was fined $150 for speeding at 20 knots when he appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Steven Herbert McCallan of Texas Road, was spotted by Police in his 22-foot boat driving along Ferry Reach by the swing bridge.

McCallan said he thought his boat was outside the five knot zone at the time the incident occurred.
