Police prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne told the court that on the evening of September 12 Hillier Bonya was at the Cock and Feather Pub and Restaurant.

"She placed her bag under her seat before going to dance and when she came back she noticed that her purse, which contained $60, credit cards and other personnel papers, was gone,'' Sgt. Osborne said.

He added that Police were called and because of information received they arrested Fox.

"Fox was interviewed and later took Police to where the bag was,'' Sgt.

Osborne said.

He also told the court that Fox was presently serving an eight-month sentence for breaking and entering.

Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis told Fox that having regard for his history of theft and breaking and entering he was sentencing him to a further three months in prison which will be consecutive to his current sentence.

Prosecutor Sgt. Rex Osborne told the court that on December 3 at 2.30 p.m.

Smith entered the Phoenix Store on Reid Street and was seen by a security guard putting two Butterfinger chocolates into his pocket.

"The security guard watched as Smith walked past the cashier and out the door without paying for the chocolates,'' Sgt. Osborne said.

He added that the security guard approached Smith and detained him until the Police arrived.
