And the powerful rain helped to smash the windscreen of a private car. A Police spokesperson said the car which was parked along side a coral wall on Lane Hill in Paget was in the wrong place as the wall gave way to the rain.

"At 1.30 the heavy downpour caused portions of the wall to fall onto the parked car shattering the windscreen. Luckily no one was injured,'' the spokesperson said.
