Hamilton West incumbent Mr. Julian Hall made the allegation in a PLP campaign television commercial aimed at young voters.

He repeated it this week in an interview with The Royal Gazette .

But UBP executive officer Mr. Joe Gibbons denied the allegation and called Mr.

Hall's comment's "mischievous''.

Yesterday he said the UBP were looking into the matter to see if there were any violations of telecommunications rules.

If there are, Mr. Gibbons added, the UBP would take it up.

Telecommunications inspector Mr. Ted Pitman said "there was no particular mechanism in place for complaints of that type''.
