A 19-year-old sustained abrasions to her hand after her bike and a car collided on Middle Road in Sandys.

Both vehicles received moderate front-end damage in the accident, which occurred at the junction with Spring Benny Road.

According to Police the teenager was travelling west on Middle Road and the car was exiting Spring Benny Road when the vehicles collided at 8.15 a.m. on Monday.

"The rider of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old Sandys parish woman, sustained abrasions to her left hand and back pain," said a spokesperson. "She was examined at the scene by EMTs before being taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 35-year-old Sandys parish woman, was not injured."
