Adult entertainment cruise planned for Father's Day
A Father's Day cruise is promising lingerie modelling and hot oil wrestling, along with the sale of adult pleasure products.
However Tomeka Smith, the owner and operator of the company hosting the cruise, said the event wouldn't be a strip club on the seas.
"The idea behind the cruise is simply adult entertainment for adults," she said. "I always try to bring class and respectability to the situation. It's nothing out of sorts."
While she acknowledged that hot oil wrestling could be seen as lewd, but said: "Everything can be done two ways. Nobody is going to be nude. Everything will be done properly."
The "Doin' it for Daddy" cruise on June 20 is just the latest event organised by Ms. Smith, whose company Private Pleasures hosts parties and events to sell adult pleasure products.
Along with the wrestling and modelling, the three-hour cruise will feature a meal, a raffle and a presentation by Pleasure Products.
She said: "We held a similar party for Mother's Day. The reaction to that one was overwhelming. We completely sold out.
"So far, this one has gotten a lot of responses. I've heard a couple of negative reactions, but I don't really see much merit. If your wives will have an issue with you going, don't go."
She said she had heard concerns that the girls involved would be brought in from the Dominican Republic, but she insisted that all the girls involved would be local.
She also stressed that the party was intended for a mature audience, saying: "We're catering to an older crowd, so we won't be allowing anyone under 30, and we will have security there to make sure that happens.
This is about getting my name out there and having a bit of fun for the fathers. "To each his own, really," she said.
