A Bermudian mother and son are taking part in a Multiple Sclerosis Wheel and Walk event in Leeds in the UK.

Sara and Tommy Westhead, seven, are walking in support of Gerry Collins, who is Sara's father and Tommy's grandfather and was diagnosed with MS last year. The four-kilometre trek is organised by the UK's National MS Society.

Mrs. Westhead, who recently moved to England with her family, said: "It's been so hard to see my dad go downhill so quickly. He was so actively involved with work, the community and our church, that it has been really hard for him to have to step down from all the things he used to do and love."
