The Bank of Bermuda wants to put a sculpture of a bronze boat outside its Front Street headquarters.
A meeting of the Corporation of Hamilton heard that the artwork, by Bill Ming, would be sited on the bank's property.
City engineer Patrick Cooper said: "The sculpture is about eight feet long and about five feet wide. It's basically a boat with people rowing in it."
The municipality agreed it had no opposition to the plan.
