Crash victim in stable condition

A 32-year-old man was last night in stable condition in a general ward after a crash which also injured a 22-year-old woman.

The crash happened on Friday at 6.05 a.m. when a car travelling west on Middle Road and a motorcycle heading in the opposite direction collided as the car attempted to turn on to Dudley Hill, in Paget.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 32-year-old Sandys man, was injured and taken to hospital where his condition was described as stable.

The driver of the car, a 20-year-old Devonshire man, was not injured; however his passenger, a 22-year-old Paget woman, was injured. She had to be cut from the car before being taken to the hospital. Last night her condition was also described as stable on a general ward. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately two hours.

¦ The Bermuda Police Service Marine Unit is investigating several reports of theft from boats in the Riddell's Bay and Jew's Bay Southampton areas.
