Magistrate Edward King ordered Earl Somersall Henderson to return before him on February 17 for trial.

Henderson, 48, who now lives at the Salvation Army Shelter on Parson's Road, was freed on $750 bail on Monday.

He denies stealing electricity between May 18 and September 5 from a line which terminates at Dr. Niall Aitken's office on King Street.

He also denies making use of a phone line connected to the Internet belonging to Dr. Aitken between 26 June and 20 July an running up a $218.08 bill at North Rock Communications.

At the time of the alleged offences, Henderson lived in an apartment over the doctor's office.
