Yesterday marked the second gun murder case to be put before Bermuda's courts in the space of two days.

On Monday, 25-year-old Antonio Myers was charged with shooting Kumi Harford dead in St. Monica's Road in the early hours of December 5 2009.

Myers, of Rambling Lane, Pembroke, was also charged with possession of a firearm and remanded into custody pending another court appearance on June 15.

The charges against Warner and Myers are the first murder charges in respect of what has been a year of gun violence in Bermuda.

A total of nine men have lost their lives since May 2009.

Meanwhile a total of 25 people have been injured in shootings since the beginning of 2009. Six men are currently awaiting trials relating to four of those incidents.
