A planning application has been submitted for the former Lantana resort in Sandys.

D.R. Lantana Management LLC has lodged plans for a new resort development, including hotel condominiums and residences, a beach club, pool, club house and site infrastructure.

The 9.4-acre property will house a 28-unit cottage colony, with waterfront restaurant, croquet lawn and conference rooms. It is hoped work on the $100 million cottage colony will be complete in three years.

Developer Kevin Petty of Moongate Resorts Ltd. is to develop and manage the cottage colony. The resort closed in 1998.
