Police car and van collide

A Police officer was treated in hospital after his patrol car was in a collision with a van.

According to Police, the van driver lost control and collided with the car on Palmetto Road. A truck was also involved in the accident, which happened at 9.10 a.m. on Thursday.

The Police officer complained of chest and shoulder pain as well as glass in his eyes and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital. Another officer in the car, a front seat passenger, was not injured.

Neither the driver of the van or the truck driver, a 50-year-old Hamilton Parish man, were injured.
