Police received 46 reports of damage-only accidents with 20 more resulting in injury.

During the week of August 3 to August 10, there were also four people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 21 stolen vehicles.

Most of the stolen vehicles were auxiliary cycles or motorcycles with only one car reported stolen. Of the 21 vehicles, three were recovered.

Police are again asking people to slow down and drive and ride properly. The service also urges people driving in cars to use seat belts and make sure children are properly restrained.

Motorists on bikes should always fasten helmets and avoid making a third lane.
