Police report more than 60 road accidents in one week
Bermuda's roads recorded more than 60 accidents and Police arrested five people for drinking and driving in the past week.
Police are urging people to slow down and to use care, caution and courtesy on the roads.
Additionally, they are also urging people travelling in cars to use seatbelts at all times and people on motorbikes to fasten their helmets and avoid so-called 'third laneing'.
From May 12 to May 19, there were 20 accidents involving injuries, 46 collisions where the vehicles were damaged, five arrests on suspicion of impaired driving and 18 vehicles stolen.
Pembroke parish was the worst affected with six vehicles stolen, three were taken in St. George's and in Warwick and two each in Hamilton Parish and Devonshire. Southampton and Sandys Parish both had one reported vehicle stolen.
The majority of the vehicles removed were auxiliary cycles/motorcycles, with one golf cart also taken.
