Trench work will close off Cemetery Road to road users this weekend.

Belco is to shut off access to the road from 8 p.m. tomorrow to Sunday evening.

A company spokeswoman said: "The weekend road closure is necessary for Belco to do essential work that will enable the company to continue providing power securely and reliably.

"Belco is doing trenching work in preparation for installation of new gas turbine engines in early 2010."

The road will be closed between Animal and Garden House and the Gorham's lumberyard. Businesses at the north end will remain accessible from St. John's Road, while those at the south are accessible from Serpentine Road.
