Seniors involved in car crash

A car carrying an 80-year-old man and 76-year-old woman was involved in a single-vehicle smash on Crow Lane in Hamilton around 2.40 p.m on Monday.

According to the Police, the car was travelling towards Hamilton when the man lost control of the vehicle and it collided with the wall of Fidelity International.

The man, who was driving, was uninjured but the female passenger complained of chest pains.

The collision was one of 12 that left people injured over the course of the week ending on Monday.

Six more collisions resulted in damage to the vehicles only. Seven vehicles were stolen six motorcycles and a pedal cycle.
