Training workshops arranged to help Bermudians obtain work

The Department of Labour and Training announced a series of workshops for this month to help Bermudians find and apply for jobs.The free workshops tackle issues including employee rights and responsibilities, how to create and improve a resume and interviewing skills.While the majority of the workshops focus on gaining employment, a weekly workshop held every Tuesday between 4pm and 5.30pm this month offers attendees an introduction to Microsoft Excel 2007.Other workshops include:lJob Club and Networking Group, Wednesdays, 10.30am to 11.30am.lInterviewing Skills, 10am to noon today.lShort Term Programmes to Get a Better Job, Friday, 10.30am to 11.30am.lApplying in Writing, February 14, 10am to 11.30 am.lNational Training Board: Apprenticeship and Certification, February 15, 10am to 11.30.lJob Search Strategies, February 16, 10am to noon.lThe Power of Networking, February 17, 10.30am to 11.30am.lEmployee Rights and Responsibilities, February 18, 10.30am to 12pm.lHospitality Industry Job Preparation Programme, February 21 through March 1.The workshops will be held at the Department of Labour and Training.
