Two men to face cocaine-related charges

Two Jamaican nationals have appeared in Magistrates' Court charged with conspiracy to import cocaine into the Island.

Ricardo Valentino Stewart, 31, of Farm Hill, in Ocho Rio, and Adrian Rupert Morris, 28, of Golden Grove, in St Ann, were charged with conspiring to import cocaine between a date unknown and June 5.

They were also charged with importing cocaine into Bermuda on June 7.

Neither man was asked to enter a plea as the matter is indictable only and must be heard at Supreme Court.

Stewart was represented by lawyer Graveney Bannister, while Grove was unrepresented.

Both men were remanded in custody and will appear back in Magistrates' Court for mention on June 25.
