The Bermuda Police Service has recognised the hard work and dedication of its officers and civilian personnel.

In a press release, a Police spokesman said: "It is their professionalism and sense of duty that helps make Bermuda safer."

The statement also listed the recipients of awards presented during the Police Ball held in October. The Police officer of the year and Sergeant of the year awards were won by Sergeant Gregory Grimes.

Constable of the Year was won by Constable Donville Yarde, Civilian of the Year by Linda Mienzer, Sportswoman of the Year by Constable Terry-Lynn Paynter and Sportsman of the Year by Sergeant Clifford Roberts.
