Injured biker leaves hospital
A 34-year-old Pembroke man who suffered injuries to his head and face after his cycle and two cars collided on North Shore Road, Pembroke, has been released from hospital after receiving treatment.
The accident on Thursday evening occurred at the junction of North Shore Road and Princess Estate Road.
The two car drivers, a 25-year-old Pembroke man and a 30-year-old Southampton woman, were not hurt.
Utility pole toppled in accident
A truck carrying a crane through Pembroke knocked over a utility pole in the Court Street and Ewing Street area.
Police responded to the incident around noon on Thursday after the crane got caught in some overhead wires, causing the pole to break and fall to the ground.
No one was injured and traffic in the area was diverted as BELCO, BTC and Cablevision carried out repairs.
