A 23-year-old man is being treated in hospital after being shot ‘multiple times’ this morning.Police were called to Kitchener Close, in Sandys, just after 2 a.m. after reports of gun fire in the area.A Police spokesman said: “As a result at 23-year-old Sandys man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital were he is presently being treated for multiple gun shot wounds to his body.

A Police spokesman said: “As a result at 23-year-old Sandys man was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital were he is presently being treated for multiple gun shot wounds to his body.
“An investigation has commenced with officers from the Serious Crime Unit under the direction of Chief inspector Nick Pedro.”
It is thought the man was shot eight times.
