Breaking News: Fatal shooting evidence could help solve other crimes - Police
Forensic evidence gathered on St. Monica’s Road after Saturday’s fatal shooting could be help solve other other crimes across the Island, it emerged this afternoon.
Father-of-one Kumi Harford, 30, was murdered on St. Monica’s Road in what was described by Police as an “escalation in the level of violence”compared to other shootings on the Island.
Numerous gun casings were found around the blue car Mr, Harford had been driving alone at 5 a.m.. He had been shot multiple times.
Yesterday Assistant Police Commissioner Paul Wright said the Bermuda Police Service was working “flat out” to apprehend the person or people involved in the shooting and said it appeared to be gang related.
Superintendent Antoine Daniels said an overseas crime scene expert was helping with the investigation and added: “The expert has provided some specific evidence and we hope this will help us get closure on this case, and a number of other crimes,” he said.
Mr. Harford was the second person to be shot dead this year and the 14th person shot since May 24.
