Police last night launched an investigation after confirming that gunshots were fired shortly before 10 p.m. last night near White Hill Road and Georges Bay Road, Sandys.

A Police spokesman said that no-one had been shot after checks with the hospital and after canvassing the area. There was a strong Police presence into the night.
