Man denies having $6,000 of cocaine near middle school

A man accused of possessing $6,650 worth of cocaine in an increased penalty zone pleaded not guilty when he appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Troy Bremar, 41, of Beacon Hill Lane, Sandys, pleaded not guilty to possessing 18.1 grammes of the controlled drug cocaine within 300 metres of Sandys Secondary School on August 19.

Bremar, has previous convictions for drug possession.

The matter was adjourned until March 2 with Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner setting bail at $20,000.
