A sick crew member will be evacuated from an oil tanker 250 miles to the East of Bermuda sometime this morning.

Last night Bermuda Maritime Operations reported that a U.S. Coast Guard Helicopter and C-130 aircraft had arrived in Bermuda in preparation for the evacuation.

The Bahamian flagged oil-tanker, Axel Spirit, which is on it's way from Egypt to the United States will not make port in Bermuda but will wait for the Coast Guard Helicopter to rescue the sick man.
