Whitney Institute students turn out to see the Queen
Students at Whitney Institute eagerly lined the streets to wave the Queen and Prince Philip off as they were driven to the airport. They had this to say about the Royal visit.
Shaqueta Mallory, 13, said: "I have seen pictures and seen her on the news. She's a very high person.
She helps protect us and England. She was born in 1926 and her daddy is George VI."
Jahmeeka Philpott, 13, said: "I am excited to see the Queen because I have never seen somebody who's Royal and it's going to be a memory for when I get older and I can tell my children."
Sa'Kazja Wainwright, 13, said: "I've never seen the Queen before. When I get older, I can tell my grandchildren that I got to see the Queen and I am just really excited."
Maya Palacio, 12, said: "We haven't seen her in a long time and I am happy she came for Bermuda's 400th anniversary so everyone can see her."
Ashanti Stovell, 12, said: "I am really excited because my brother and my sister saw her yesterday and they kept talking about it and I got jealous."
Maths teacher Stephen Coddington said: "I think they're curious about who she is. They have been asking a lot of questions about her age and what does she do.
"They're curious and I guess it shows that we need to [teach] more about our British heritage because they don't know."
