The store offers a recycling service for used printer cartridges and refills for inks and toners. It’s owned by former golf professional Chris Marshall, who previously worked at the Mid-Ocean Club, and is part of a franchise that operates in North America. It was launched with the assistance of the Economic Empowerment Zone Agency, which offers financial benefits to businesses in north Hamilton.Mr Marshall said: “The whole green issue that’s going on in Bermuda has really sparked an interest in Cartridge World. A couple of core values we stand by are that it’s a green initiative and there are cost savings.”He explained the business appeals to those who work from home and from an office, and their location has worked well.“We did not need to be in a high rent district of Hamilton. When we found this location we were excited. It’s on the outskirts of town but within the economic empowerment zone. The EEZ has been very supportive in helping Cartridge World get on their feet,” he said.“The business is growing, it’s all about getting new clients to come on board.
