Two Tall Ships visit the Island

Visitors and residents of St George’s are being treated to another historical sight as two Tall Ships have berthed in St George’s Harbour.The Bristol-based Earl of Pembroke and the German topsail schooner Thor Heyerdahl both arrived in Bermuda on route from the Caribbean to the Azores.The 100ft Earl of Pembroke is a three-masted Barque with 16 crew members on board, and was yesterday berthed at Ordnance Island. The 163ft Thor Heyerdahl is a regular visitor to the Island, and will be berthed with its crew of 49 people at Pennos Wharf until March 9.
