Boat and mooring licensing deadline

Boat owners have a week left to meet a Government deadline to register their vessels and moorings.

Registrations must be renewed with the Department of Marine and Ports by 4.30pm next Thursday.

Anyone who has not received a renewal notice in the post is asked to pay in person.

Fresh 2011 decals should be in place on boats and moorings by April 1. Boats are not subject to a late fee, but must be registered unless they are out of the water. Kayaks and punts must also be registered.

Moorings licences that go unpaid will be cancelled after July 1, and the buoys cut.

To update addresses, contact Marine and Ports on 294-4453 or send an e-mail to: boatsandmoorings[AT]gov.bm.
