A 22-year-old man was shot dead last night - the third murder this year.Randy Robinson, a player for North Village, is believed to have been shot around 8.25pm on Border Lane North, Pembroke.Residents said they heard four loud shots fired as they were going about their regular activities.Dozens of community members lined the area of Friswell's Hill after the shooting; as police officers surveyed the cordoned off area.One woman said she was relaxing and settling down for bed when she heard “four loud claps” after that everything went silent, except for the blare of police sirens.Her son admitted he saw the young man's lifeless body and admitted to feeling “numb” and “blank”. “I've not seen a dead body before,” he said.The woman said she was familiar with the victim's family and said: “When you hear somebody crying out for a child who was just shot, whether you are a mother or not it has to resonate with you.”The residents said the neighbourhood was still a proud and tight-knit community, but said some were feeling frustrated with the ongoing violence.Police spokesman Dwayne Caines told media last night: “Police responded to a report of a confirmed firearms incident that took place at 8.25pm on Border Lane in Devonshire...Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area to contact police on 295-0011.”They can also contact the Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477, he said. Mr Caines said the Bermuda Police Service understood images of the 22-year-old man's lifeless body had been captured using a cellular phone and asked that people disregard them.“We are asking people to exercise restraint as this is a very sad time for the family and we would like for them to carry out this grieving process with as much dignity as possible.”Colford Ferguson, 29, was murdered in broad daylight on February 5 in Mangrove Bay in Somerset. Jahmiko LeShore, 26, was gunned down in front of his pregnant girlfriend March 3 on Boundary Crescent in Devonshire.Last Friday a 16-year-old was also shot by a lone gunman on Rambling Lane in Pembroke one of three shooting incidents in less than 15 hours.
