Location change for presentation on young black males

Tonight's presentation of ‘Out of School and On the Wall' by Monique Keyser will now take place at the City Hall Theatre.The event, organised by the Centre on Philanthropy, was originally scheduled to take place at XL House.Dr Keyser, a Columbia University scientist, compiled ‘Out of School and On the Wall' as a follow-up to the Mincy Report she co-authored two years ago, which found more than half of young black males drop out of school early.Persons interested in attending should RSVP by telephone, 236-7706, or e-mail, info[AT]centreonphilanthropy.org.The talk will start promptly at 6pm and is scheduled for two hours.Said a Centre on Philanthropy spokesman: “We would like to thank XL and City Hall for helping to accommodate this important event. Please be aware the capacity of the City Hall Theatre is limited to 300 persons and those who have RSVP'd will be accommodated first.”
