Jury selected for trial of two men accused of attempted murderA jury has been selected for the trial of two men charged with attempted murder.Jah’mico Trott, 23, and Dunn-yah Taylor, 22, were charged with the September 23 shooting of David Godwin on Marsh Folly Road, Pembroke. Mr Trott alone was charged with using a firearm to commit the offence of attempted murder, and carrying a firearm in a public place on the same date.Both men have pleaded not guilty to the charges against them.Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves adjourned the trial until Monday.Handbag stolen from tourists on a livery cycleA thief stole a handbag from a visiting couple as they rode a rental cycle in St George’s. Police are now looking for witnesses to the theft.They are especially interested in speaking with any taxi drivers travelling along Paynters Road and Stables Lane between 5pm and 6pm on Wednesday.The suspects are described as black men in their early 20s. They were riding a dark-coloured motorcycle at the time.Persons with information are asked to contact Det Con Jason Trott on 295-0011.Thieves get a fridge, dishwasher, two TVs and a treadmillThieves made off with almost everything but the kitchen sink from a Hamilton Parish residence.A refrigerator, dishwasher, two televisions and a treadmill were stolen from the Trinity Church Road home. According to police the burglary took place while the house was unoccupied overnight Tuesday.Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity is asked to contact Det Con Anthony Bartley on 295-0011.
