Tourists hurt in bike crash

Two visitors were injured after crashing a rental cycle into a light pole on Sunday.According to a police spokeswoman, at 12.26pm officers attended a reported collision near the junction of Stowe Hill and South Road in Paget.The spokeswoman said: “It appears that a 65-year-old American male visitor was riding a rental cycle on South Road and collided with a utility pole.“The rider and pillion passenger, a 51-year-old American woman, both received injuries, but they are not considered to be life-threatening.”The injured pair yesterday remained in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
