Missing yacht not seen since leaving Bermuda
Created: Sep 21, 2011 09:54 AM
Two sailors on a voyage from Bermuda to Ireland are being sought after their yacht, the Golden Eagle, failed to arrive at its destination.
The men, a 69-year-old from Norway and a man believed to be 60 and from New Zealand, were scheduled to reach Crookhaven, west Cork, on September 15. The vessel was last seen on its August 21 departure from Bermuda.
An air and sea search has been launched by the Irish Navy and Air Corps, with Atlantic shipping asked to attempt to contact the vessel.
