A 67-year-old American visitor died while snorkelling off the Western end of the Island yesterday.Police arrived around 11.30am to find the female tourist was unresponsive and cardio-pulmonary resusitation was performed. She was pronounced dead at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital a short time later.An autopsy is anticipated although there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances relating to the death, the spokeswoman said.The identity of the victim has not yet been released.The death comes a month after that of 79-year-old Joe Alston.The American, who was a former Bermuda resident, was also found in an unresponsive state while on a snorkelling expedition.
