Local wholesale data and voice service provider, Quantum Communications, experienced a 30-minute service outage this morning disrupting service to their clients Island-wide.According to a source at LinkBermuda, a client of Quantum as well as 40 percent owner of the company, service has been restored and “everything is now up and running”.The service interruption started at around 8.45am and was restored around 9.15am. According to LinkBermuda, the cause of the outage stemmed from the installation of a new Quantum customer location that ended up taking down the system.The network required rebooting and is now operating as usual.“Customers are back up and running save for a few that may need to shut down their system and reboot,” said the source.Paul Furbert, COO of the Quantum was unavailable for comment.
