Two vehicles damaged in crashes

A car and a truck were damaged in seperate single-vehicle accidents, which also saw a man being arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.The first accident occurred at the junction of Spanish Point Road and Clarence Dale Drive in Pembroke on Tuesday.A police spokeswoman said: “It appears that a car was travelling along Spanish Point Road when it collided with a utility pole and a wall.“The driver, a 57-year-old Pembroke man was conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of minor injuries and later released. He was then arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.”Around half an hour later, at 9.30pm, officers were informed of an accident on South Road in Paget.A truck travelling near Coral Beach had gone over an embankment.“The truck was damaged, however the driver, a 49-year-old Devonshire man, was not injured,” the spokeswoman said. “Inquiries into this incident are underway.”
