Pedestrian injured after being struck by car

A Paget woman was struck by a car yesterday morning on South Road, but escaped life threatening injuries.According to a Police spokeswoman, at around 8am, officers and first responders responded to a reported collision between a car and a pedestrian on South Road, near the junction with the Railway Trail, in Paget.“Details are unclear at this time, however the pedestrian, believed to be a 54-year-old Paget woman, was injured,” the spokeswoman said.“The extent of her injuries is currently unknown, however they are not believed to be life threatening. The car driver, a 21-year-old Paget woman, was not injured.”
