Police have released CCTV images of the armed robbery of a liquor store last week in hopes of catching the thief.

The images show a man wearing a blue hooded coat and a black helmet with a full face visor.

According to police, the man entered Serpentine Liquors around 4.25pm on March 15 and stole a quantity of cash. He escaped on the back of a waiting motorcycle.

“To date, detectives have interviewed several witnesses and reviewed CCTV footage of the incident, from which we are releasing the attached photos,” a Police spokesman said.

“We are taking the step of releasing these photos to seek the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect shown. It appears that the suspect in the shop is holding a silver-coloured firearm, and may possibly have a limp or be bowlegged.”

Anyone with information, or who can identify the man, is asked to call the Serious Crime Unit on 247-1739 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.
