Sudden death in Spanish Point 'suspicious'

A woman's dead body has been recovered from Point Shares Road, Pembroke, and police are treating the incident as "suspicious".According to a police spokesman, authorities responded to the discovery at 5.45pm."A lifeless body, female, has since been recovered from the scene, and enquiries are underway," the spokesman said, adding that witnesses or anyone with information should contact the Serious Crimes Unit at 295-0011.Police forensics could be seen examining a small cottage by the roadside, which one resident said was used as a guest cottage by the adjacent property.Blocked off earlier in the evening, the road was opened for residents at 9.30pm.
