Bermuda Police Service has been hit by phone problems this evening and only has the 911 phone service in operation. A spokesman for the BPS issued the following statement to advice the public what to do if they wished to contact the police.He said: "The Bermuda Police Service is presently experiencing telephone difficulties. At present only the 911 system is operational at this juncture. We are asking at that only people with emergencies contact the 911 number, all other non emergencies should be taken directly to the Police station in your area.“We apologise for the inconvenience and we hope to have this matter resolved as soon as possible."
