Christmas appeal is launched
Gina Spence Productions In Christ has launched a new campaign in collaboration with the Bermuda Broadcasting Company to assist families in need.The aim of the Christmas in Bermuda ... The Spirit of Giving campaign is to help children and seniors purchase prescription medication.The registered charity has partnered with Age Concern and the Coalition for the Protection of Children to help meet the increasing demand in the lead-up to the festive season.Donations can be made online through HSBC to the GSPIC bank account 002-051928-001.Gift certificates can also be purchased at any checkout register at one of the six Phoenix Stores, Brown & Company or P-Tech.The group has also partnered with a local wholesale company to purchase non-perishable goods for children through the Coalition.Individual gift packs will be given to nominees. Nominations can be made through the GSPIC website www.gspic.org. The deadline for donations and nominations is November 30.The gift packs and cards will be distributed in the BBC parking lot on December 1 from 1.30 to 3.30pm. The event will be aired live on Power 95.In case of rain, the party will be held at City Hall in Hamilton.
