The Department of Statistics yesterday announced the release of a new booklet featuring a wealth of Bermuda facts.The 2012 edition of Facts and Figures displays a series of statistics on topics ranging from Bermuda’s economy, geography and social make-up. The information was taken from several published reports from government departments and public authorities.It also gives a brief history of the Island, highlighting the Island’s discovery by Juan de Bermudez, the evolution of the Island’s economy and various political, social and technological landmarks.The 20-page document is available free of charge at both the Department of Statistic’s office in the CedarPark Centre Building, and the Department’s website, www.statistics.gov.bm.
