Lombard Odier staff hand out clothing to Island’s homeless

The staff of a private banking firm took to Albouys Point to help support vulnerable members of the community.During the company’s first ‘Share the Love’ event at Point Pleasant Park last weekend, the management and staff of Lombard Odier (Bermuda) handed out free blankets, jackets socks and soup.A spokeswoman for the company said that the number of people who need assistance is growing.“We were extremely pleased with the turnout and hope that we positively impacted the lives of those who attended while simultaneously raising general public awareness of the needy in our community,” she said.“We hope that the event will become an annual event and invites other interested individuals and/or organisations to join us next year in this outreach programme as we continue our quest to ‘Share the Love’ throughout our Island home.”Charmaine Tucker, President and CEO of Lombard Odier (Bermuda) said: “We wish to publicly thank our sponsors, Fourways Inn and The Corporation of Hamilton, for their donation in support of this event, which is a demonstration not only of our financial commitment to community development, but also evidence of our individual commitment outside of the four walls of our organisation.”
