Millennium ferry to start service ‘very shortly’
Created: May 25, 2013 09:00 AM
The ferry
Millennium didn’t arrive at the Island until Sunday, Transport Minister Shawn Crockwell admitted — following a wrangle with Shadow Minister Lawrence Scott.
Mr Crockwell apologised for his “honest mistake” in telling Friday’s House of Assembly that the ferry was already in Bermuda waters.
In fact, the vessel’s expected Friday arrival had been delayed by bad weather.
The
Millennium will be used for a Dockyard to St George’s route to assist Bermuda’s existing fleet over the summer.
The Ministry has provided no exact date for the charter to commence service — but Mr Crockwell said it should start “very shortly”.
